TNT Month Instagram Round Up: November 1st-6th!

Editor’s Note: We’ve had so many people joining in with #sewcialistsTNT that we decided to shift from end-of-month roundups to weekly ones!

Hi, I’m Andie, and I blog at Sew Pretty in Pink. I’m a big fan of TNT patterns and am super excited about the theme month. I’m rounding up the projects tagged on Instagram from November 1 to 6. If we missed you, it might be because you have a private account or we just accidentally missed it, so please leave a link to your IG picture or blog post in the comments! There are already a ton of IG posts for TNT month so let’s get started!

@sewbest shared their TNT underwear pattern from Evie La Luve and it’s free!

Jen recently shared her TNT pattern on the blog. Isn’t it fabulous?

@butcherfibers shared her TNT, the linden sweatshirt from Grainline Studio. I just love that fabric!

@redwsews shared her favourite sweater pattern from Seamwork, the Astoria. Heart eyes for that starred sweatshirt material!

@lesmafamafa shared her top two TNTs, the Morgan Jeans and the Hemlock Tee, with her versions over the years.

When I look back…. I can say that 2 patterns have lately proven to be on the spot for me …they are high in Rotation in my wardrobe as they fit well in my personal and work life! 1 st is the #hemlockteepattern hacked here in a dress or sleeveless… I have sewn this pattern so many times … you can see seven of it here and you can see I use also woven fabric. Except from changing seam allowances or making it sleeveless, I have added 1 1/2inch on front and back , lengthen the pattern pieces to fit knee length… I am sure to make some this month too as it is so fast! 2- the second pattern is the #Morganjeans love the fit, want more … just have two😔😝 … i love that I can take these two patterns and sew them without doubt! #triedandtrue #sewcialiststnt #sewvember #sewciaslists #sewingchallenge

@stitchinschmitz hacked the Hemlock tee into a jacket! TNTs are great for hacking!

#bpsewvember day 1: Hello, my name is Erica Stitchinschmitz and I am a serial IG challenge slacker! I live in Portland, Maine with my husband and daughter. I love to draft my own patterns and make things up as I go along, which means that I learn by making lots of mistakes. I aspire to a small mix-and-match wardrobe made of simple and comfortable shapes, soft breathable fabrics, and earthy/muted/neutral colors. I love to plan by sketching my ideas on a croquis of my own body, and I decided to create @mybodymodel so that anyone can have a croquis made to their own measurements–And thanks to 725 fellow makers, it's really happening! There aren't enough heart emojis in the world to express how I feel about this awesome community but here's a start: ❤️💓💗💖💕💞❣️💛💚💙💜🖤😍😘 …Wearing: my favorite makes ever, made from two of my most TNT patterns and fabrics: @grainlinestudio #hemlocktee jacket hack made from organic french terry, and the dress is self-drafted in @robertkaufman #brusselswasher linen. #sewcialists #sewcialistsTNT #memadeeveryday #curvysewing #handmadewardrobe #homemadewardrobe #selfmadewardrobe #isew #imademyclothes #minimalishfolk

@__niki_ has found the perfect TNT in the Billie Sweater. With special details, you can make each TNT unique.

TNT – I wouldn’t have guessed one of my first Tried & True patterns (theme of @sewcialists) would be a sweater for @boudewijn.hamerhaai..! Maybe because I have a really good excuse to send Boudewijn & our daughters outside. “I need to sew Boudewijn a new sweater! Don’t bother me ok?😎” So here it is, the @zonen09 Billie sweater, the third one i made. This time i lowered the neckline by 1 cm, and i kept the other alterations I made for the second sweater (shortened the bodice a lot). And to personalize it (and because i wanted to screen print again) i made a little something something on the front and the back. As always with the @bobbin.hood kit. The fabric is a thick jersey knit and is sooooo soft on the inside. (i have enough “scraps” to make myself a Larktee!) I sewed it up in 2 hours, cutting and screen printing excluded. It’s like a meditation, combining full concentration & listening to the @lovetosew.podcast . Thank you @sewcialists for this theme! I thought it wasn’t my cup of tea but here I am.. 😃• • • #sewing #sewingformen #sewingismytherapy #isew #sewcialists #ilovesewing #sweater #memade #selflesssewing #billie #zonen09 #naaien #naaienisleuk #millennialsewing #sewcialists #wearebobbinhood #zonen09billie #billievoormannen #sewcialistsTNT

      1. I’ve just printed this pattern and I’m really impressed by how thorough it is. Sometimes free patterns understandably give you a more ‘bare bones’ package, but this looks lovely!

Thanks Andie for sharing…and thanks to sewbest for IG’ing.
